About Us (Data & Analytics United)​

3 years ago, we were astounded when realizing the lack of quality training on the subject of quality assurance and testing of data and analytics. At this time it seemed impossible to find training surrounding these topics in Europe, and we saw a growing demand throughout the Dutch market. Considering that (big) data is becoming more and more important for organizations, even essential to their survival, we thought, well – why don’t we fill this gap and create this training ourselves!
During the next few years, we have been developing the course and training many BI-consultants and testers; we have seen how well the Dutch market has welcomed our training with open arms. In order to share this experience further, we founded the "Special Interest Group" Data & Analytics United, bringing in a couple further international partners under the guidance and support of our friends at the Brightest team. Our overall goal is to improve the training we have been delivering and to provide a relevant curriculum and certification at international level, culminating in a certification exam via Brightest.
Together, we are excited and eager to see how this training curriculum will grow further. We are motivated to create awareness, knowledge and experience in Data & Analytics testing among people & organizations all over the world.
Meet the Creators of DAU
Armando Dörsek
Having more than 2 decades of experience in the field of software development, operations and human development, I love to focus on quality in data centric projects. Next to first-hand experience in testing data warehouse and analytics projects, I aim to add knowledge about data privacy, ethics, migrations, design decisions and agile working to the game. I act as Test Consultant and Quality Manager in large-scale projects providing knowledge, strategies and insights to Program Managers and to both tech and business colleagues, both locally in the Netherlands but also in international programs including offshore collaborations. Each month, I clear my diary for a few days to provide courses on data and analytics testing.
Rogier Ammerlaan
A consultant, manager and trainer in software testing, agile, business analysis and data & analytics, I have more than 20 years of experience in the financial banking and technical automation industry, working for a number of Dutch and International companies. I am ISTQB qualified and specialized in test process improvement (TPI and TMM) and in developing complex test strategies. I am a certified ISTQB trainer for software testing, business analyses and requirements management and specialized in the areas of data migration and complex chain testing.
Jaap de Roos
Founder of DataConnected, the data network for professionals and organizations to share knowledge, work and products. I have been passionate about data for over 2 decades and I have developed it in many different roles, as the responsible person for advice, (Lean) change, development, test, quality, delivery and support of complex data environments within small companies as well as in large international corporates. I have always loved to create data & quality awareness at all levels: strategic, tactical and/or operational, and today I am proud that, together with Armando and Rogier, we have devised and developed the CDAT training curriculum, to create greater quality worldwide - A dream come true!
